Top four preview

The premier league is slowly drawing to a close and the race for the title could not have been tougher or more unpredictable if it had been planned. Chelsea lead the chasing pack with just one point, Manchester city in third position could conceivably overtake both chelsea and arsenal if they win their games in hand as they boast a vastly superior goal difference and liverpool in fourth position are just four points off the leaders. This weekend throws up another set of intresting fixtures for the EPL faithful to enjoy and I will attempt a modest review of two of the teams making up the top four as I already previewed chelsea vs fulham and manchester city do not play this weekend. 1. Southampton vs Liverpool: Liverpool visit the saints on the back of a three game winning streak having won six and drawn two of their last eight matches, they will be anxious to avenge a 1 - 0 loss suffered at the hands of the saints during the first half of the season. Liverpool could rise as high as second depending on the results of the arsenal match coupled with the fact that manchester city do not play this weekend. Prediction: southampton 1 - 2 Liverpool 2. Stoke vs Arsenal : Arsenal face a potential banana peel as they visit a stoke side that have garnered 21 of their entire 27 points this season on home soil. Arsenal brushed aside their disappointing result against bayern munich in the champions league to hammer a hapless sunderlan 4 - 1 but this is a different sort of test against a different sort of opponent who though in 15th position will give arsenal a run for their money. Prediction: Stoke 1 - 1 Arsenal I believe the weekend will end with the following as our top four. 1. Chelsea 63points 2. Arsenal. 60points 3. Liverpool 59points 4. Man city. 57points. Chelsea vs Fulham match preview

Chelsea Fc takes on Fulham Fc in the london derby on saturday the first of march. Chelsea are currently leading tje barclays premier league by a solitary point and with Manchester city facing suderland in the F.a cup on sunday and arsenal facing a difficult match at stoke city this may be an incredible opportunity for chelsea to stretch their lead at the top of the table but with "the special one", Jose Mourinho complaining about the fixture list and players being tired you just can not take anything for granted. Chelsea come into this match on the back of an away draw at the turk telecom arena in the champions league and know that anything less that an outright win would probably see them lose their short-lived grip at the top of the EPL pile. Fulham are currently propping up the rest of the league in 20th position and this match represents a David vs Goliath battle of sorts as it is top versus bottom but this is a derby match and just about anything could happen. Expect Jose to shuffle his team in a bid to keep the squad fresh, this match should also mark the return of Matc to the squad after his enforced absence from the Galatasary match due to his ineligibility. Probable lineup: Cech, Ivanovic, Terry, Luiz, Azpilicueta, Matic, Ramires, oscar, Hazard, Willian, Torres. Predicted scoreline: Fulham 1 - 3 Chelsea
